Things I Need to Bear In Mind

1. I am now Ipod-less, camera-less, hair straightener-less, have a laptop that is only semi-functioning and am lucky to have a working phone. Must stop breaking electronics. Must look into replacing at least three of these. Consider winning lotto first?

2. I am not going to study after watching one more episode of Breaking Bad/leaving college for a 'nap'/going to the pub/going to the arcade. Study BEFORE always. Stop coming up with ridiculous ways of avoiding work.

3. Always look in Penneys first. Their stock has actually gotten really good, and they have many items that are very similar to those in more expensive shops. Must leave the Topshopping for when I get a job, after exams. Also, spending an hour in the library drooling over summer dresses and fabulous boots on ASOS followed by an extended tea break is not productive.

4. Lie-ins are not my friend.

In Matters of Cloth, He's as Fickle as Can Be, 'Cause He's a Dedicated Follower of Fashion

I'm not a tidy person. I never have been. I'll prioritise most things over picking my clothes up off the floor, or sorting through that pile of books in the corner. Trouble is, I have a lot of clothes. And a lot of books. And DVDs, CDs, magazines. Shoes. Yep, I'm a bit of a hoarder. And it doesn't help that the room I'm currently renting is rather small.  Though I'm far too lazy for its upkeep, I dream of a gloriously organised bedroom, all shelving and walk-in wardrobes. Wouldn't it be wonderful.

My clothes would be on display for me every morning, rather than balled up beneath my feet.

Oh to have a little Carrie in my life!

Or even Nicole Richie

And as for bookshelves...

Anticipating Summer Part 2

I'm on the couch, I've got my feet up, I'm watching Family Guy... and I've an assignment due. So, again, ever the avoidist (not technically a word I am well aware, but damnit it sums me up ridiculously), I've spent the past couple of hours doing things that don't require much concentration instead of somethng that will require rather a lot.

I could've done it earlier but it was SUNNY out! It made me want to do lots of fun things like going to the beach or stretching out on some grass with friends or sitting in a beer garden somewhere. It made me crave those long summer evenings where you've nothing to be doing but enjoying yourself. It's not quite May 11th (when I shall be finito!) yet, so to college I did go, and spent most of the day in lectures, passing  the breaks inbetween - which I told myself I would put away for essay writing - walking around campus enviously eying up those who could afford to be doing the lying out or the drinking. I did get an ice cream though, which cheered me up a bit. Mmmm Malteaser.

As I've said, 11th of May is the day I finish my final exams of my final year of my undergrad, and I cannot wait. There's so many things I want to though, though money or lack thereof will hinder most of them.

I'll put getting a job top of the list. Go to a festival abroad. Visit friends in Barcelona and London. Save.

Until then, it's head in the books. Starting soon. I swear.

Enda Photoshop

Everyone's been talking about this Boards thread in the past week, so I've just had a peek and it is, as I'd expected, all kinds of hillarious.

Anticipating Summer Part 1

Arcade Fire. Pulp. The Chemical Brothers. Interpol. Beirut. Mogwai. The Go! Team. Willy Mason. Walkmen... and many, many more incredible acts. The Electric Picnic lineup was announced yesterday, and though it's not until September, I'm SO excited. There's nothing like it to finish off your Summer on a high note, and to anyone who has never been, I urge you to check it out this year. Tickets went on sale this morning.
